On the Select Lines step, you must select all lines that you want to submit a response.  You can either select the check box next to the Group to select all lines within that Group or manually select the lines of interest.  

All lines will still appear on the Respond to Lines Step; however, the Response Type defaults to No Bid for the lines that were not selected on the Select Lines step and the Response Type defaults to Bid for the lines that were selected on the Select Lines step.

There are four types of Solicitation lines to which you can respond: Item, Service, Catalog and Discount. Each line type has a different set of fields that are required in the response as follows:

  • Item:  Unit Price, Delivery Days, Response Type

  • Service:  Contract Amount, Response Type

  • Discount:  Response Type, Discount %, Effective From, Effective To, Catalog

  • Catalog:  Response Type, Discount %, Effective From, Effective To, Catalog

For each Commodity Response line, only the fields required for the line’s line type are visible on the Respond to Lines step. 

On the Respond to Lines step you must indicate the Response Type for each line.  

  • The Response Type defaults to No Bid for the lines that were not selected on the Select Lines step and the Response Type defaults to Bid for the lines that were selected on the Select Lines step.

  • You can hide the lines where the Response Type is set to No Bid by selecting Hide No Bid Lines from the three-dot menu.  

  • You can display the lines where the Response Type is set to No Bid by selecting Unhide No Bid Lines from the three-dot menu.

Where can I enter Product Specifications and/or Shipping and Handling information?Where can I enter Product Specifications and/or Shipping and Handling information?

Product Specification and Shipping and Handling information can be entered via the Respond to Lines step of the My Online Response page.  Select the Additional Specs button next to each commodity line to enter more detailed information about your response.  This button opens the Additional Product Specs window, which contains the following tabs:

  • Alternate Product Specifications - This allows you to enter specific information about the part such as the Serial Number, Manufacturer and Warranty Information.  

  • Alternate Shipping Specifications - This allows you to enter detailed shipping information such as packing instructions or hazardous material information.

This section allows you to optionally enter discount information.  This section also provides a Comments section that allows you to enter additional information regarding your overall response up to 1500 characters.  Note: Attachments can be added as part of the Add Attachments step.

The Add Attachments step allows you to add attachments to your Solicitation Response.  You can also remove attachments that you do not want to include with your Solicitation Response.

The Review and Submit Step allows you to review your response before submitting. If any information is not correct, then please navigate to the corresponding step and make the updates that are needed. Once all updates have been made, then return to the Review and Submit Step, verify all information, and then click the Submit Response button.

Select the Continue button at the top of the My Online Response page to move to the next Step.

Select the Save & Close button to save your response.  This saves your response but does not submit your response.  You can access your saved responses from the My Responses page, which is accessed by selecting Solicitation Responses > My Responses from the Primary Navigation Panel.

Note: Changes are only saved if you select the Save & Close button. Clicking the Continue button to move to the next step does not save changes.

Select the Exit button to close the My Online Response page without saving any changes.  Note: Changes are only saved if you select the Save & Close button.  Clicking the Continue button to move to the next step does not save changes.

You can delete a Solicitation Response by selecting the Discard Response action from the three-dot menu on the My Online Response page.

How do I view general information about the Solicitation?How do I view general information about the Solicitation?

Select the information icon next to the Solicitation Response ID.  A pop-up window will appear with additional information about the referenced Solicitation.

Select View Solicitation from the three-dot menu to transition to the Solicitation Information page for the referenced Solicitation.
