If you need to change personal information for another user, then you must navigate to the Account Maintenance > Users tab, which is accessed from the My Account business process.  You must select Edit from the three-dot menu in the grid for the desired user to make any changes to information on the Users tab.

How do I change my password?How do I change my password?

If you need to change your password then perform the following steps:

  1. Enter your current password in the Password field.

  2. Enter your new password in the New Password field.

  3. Enter your new password in the Confirm Password field.

  4. Select the Save & Close button.

You may also update your password by navigating to the Account Maintenance > Users tab, which is accessed from the My Account business process.  You must select Edit from the three-dot menu in the grid for the desired user to make any changes to information on the Users tab.

How can I see my password while typing?How can I see my password while typing?

If the Show Password Icon feature is enabled for your site, an eye icon will appear next to all password fields. Selecting the eye icon will display your password while you are typing in the password field. Selecting the eye icon again will mask values in the password field. 

Caps Lock Warning: A warning is displayed when a password field receives focus and Caps Lock is enabled. This feature helps prevent unintended input errors.

These check boxes indicate the types of email notifications you will receive from the system.  Based on the selections, you will receive system notifications sent to the email address specified on the Personal Information tab.

An Account Administrator can change access levels via the Account Maintenance > Users tab, which is accessed from the My Account business process.  You must select Edit from the three-dot menu in the grid for the desired user to make any changes to information on the Users tab.

Account Users - What is the Optional Access Level?Account Users - What is the Optional Access Level?

The Optional Access Level indicates what the user can do within the Financial Inquiries page in VSS.  A user can optionally be assigned to one or more of the following access levels: Create Invoice, Create Response, Submit Response, or Query Tax Information.

The Create Solicitation Response access level allows the creation and modification of both draft and submitted solicitation responses.

The Submit Response access level allows the modification, withdrawal, and submission of both draft and submitted responses.

Can more than one Primary/Optional Access Level be assigned to a user?Can more than one Primary/Optional Access Level be assigned to a user?

Each user must be assigned only one Primary Access Level.  However, a user can have multiple Optional Access Levels (or they can have none – Optional Access Levels are optional.)

What is the security question and answer used for?What is the security question and answer used for?

The security question and answer are used for added security in the system.  They help the system verify you as a valid user in the system.  The security question and answer can also be used by the system to verify your identity when you are attempting to modify sensitive or confidential data in the system.  You may be requested to answer the security question you defined when registering in VSS if you are making modifications to data in the system that is considered sensitive or confidential.

Change Alert Notification SettingsChange Alert Notification Settings

The Change Alert Notification Settings tab allows you to change your Alert Email Notification setting, Alert SMS Notification setting, Phone Number, and your Email Address for receiving the notifications. The Alert Email Notification and Alert SMS Notification feature provides the ability for you to receive an email and SMS respectively, when an alert is sent in Advantage. Select Save to save your changes to this tab.

Dual Factor AuthenticationDual Factor Authentication

This tab allows you to the update the phone number and email address that is used if Dual Factor Authentication (DFA) is enabled for your site. If enabled for your site, and your User ID and password are successfully authenticated on the Login page, then you are navigated to a new screen to provide the preferred choice for sending the token. If a preference is not selected, then the default preference is used. After clicking Send on the Verification Code page, the token is sent to the registered email and a Verify Token screen appears. On the Verify Token screen, you must enter the token and click the Submit button to login to the system. Note: If the token is invalid or if it is expired, the system will not allow you to login to the system. You must click the Resend button on the validation screen to resend the token.
