You can narrow the list of grant applications by entering a value in the search fields.  

  • The Keyword Search scans the Grant Application ID and Grant Opportunity ID for the occurrence of the keyword.  

  • Grant Application ID - Allows you to narrow the search using a term in the text field.

  • Grant Opportunity - Allows you to narrow the search using a term in the text field.

  • Application Status - Allows you to narrow the search by selecting one status from the drop-down menu to display all applications with the selected Application Status.

Additional search fields can be populated by selecting the Show More link. You can hide the additional search fields by selecting the Show Less link. Click the Search link to initiate the search using the search criteria. Click Reset to clear the values in the search fields.

How does the Application Status field for my application get updated?How does the Application Status field for my application get updated?

The Application Status field displays the corresponding value from the Application Status field on the GFA transaction. This field is set as follows:

  • The Application Status is set to Draft until the grant application transaction is submitted to a Final phase in VSS.

  • The Application Status field is set to Submitted when the grant application transaction is submitted to Final phase in VSS.

  • The Application Status field is set to Withdrawn if the grant application is withdrawn from consideration in VSS.

  • The Application Status field is set to No Award or Approved by the Coordinator after the application has been reviewed as part of the evaluation process and a grant has been awarded.

  • The Application Status field is set to Clarification Requested when the grant coordinator has requested additional clarifying information for your application.

To view a Grant Funding Application that you created, select the link in the Link to Application column.   

What does an Application Status of Clarification Requested mean?What does an Application Status of Clarification Requested mean?

An Application Status of Clarification Requested means that the coordinator has requested that you provide additional clarifying information for your application. You are allowed to edit your previously submitted application if a clarification request has been made on your GFA transaction. You must update your GFA prior to the Clarification Due Date that is displayed on the Clarification Request tab of the GFA transaction. This will mostly apply to competitive grants since clarifications can only be requested by the coordinator after the application close date.

You can delete Grant Applications that have an Application Status of Draft by selecting the Discard Application action on the Grant Funding Application page. Note: A system administrator also has the ability to delete Grant Applications that have an Application Status of Draft.

Select the link in the Grant Opportunity ID column to transition to the Grant Opportunity View page, which provides detailed information about the grant opportunity.
